An initiative from Centraal Beheer insurance and DDB Unlimited to help customers sell their cars in a unique way by creating personalised car-commercials. This car commercial consisted of 3 user-choosable backgrounds, projected on a 20x4m backdrop plus floor projection and a personalised voice-over, all recorded live.
Challenges for this setup included having a four camera setup that needed to be automated in accordance with the background animations, and record the automated switching in sync with the live voice-over. Developing a workflow in which it would be easy to add a custom pay-off/price tag and distribute this all in the shortest time possible.
Every customer had a 15-minute window to bring in their car, position it, do 3 takes and leave the set again. After that it would take a maximum 15 minutes to get a send able version for the customer.
My role in this project was as a creative lead to design and visually create this experience.
I designed the whole physical layout of the experience and directed and animated the visual content on the screens.
I also was responsible on site for the creation of all the user generated videos. This consisted of editing animating and grading all the footage.
